April 30, 2010-Team Franklin MotorSports - WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series - South Bend Preview
Team Franklin MotorSports will be back in action as they travel to the second round of World Karting Association Manufacturer's Cup competition. South Bend Indiana has already been a great success to Team FMS with multiple podium finishes at the Midwest Sprint Series race this past weekend. Team FMS will have four pilots under the tent this weekend competing in a combined eight classes.
In the Senior ranks Michael Politis and Andrew Hobbs will both be competing in both the TaG class and the Leopard category. Politis, coming off a great run and podium finish at the CKI race in New Castle is looking for another strong finish in South bend. "I'm looking forward to repeating the team efforts in South Bend. Team FMS has been able to put together a solid program allowing me to run up front."
With a solid Midwest Sprint Series debut Andrew Hobbs will also be competing in TaG and Leopard Sr. as well as in Komet light and heavy. Hobbs racked up four podium finishes with a big win in Komet light this past weekend and looks to carry this momentum into the Manufacturer’s Cup weekend.
In the Junior ranks Shawn Sharkey and Joel Jens will both be competing in Komet light and heavy along with Yamaha Light and Heavy. Sharkey and Jens combined to win three out of the four races this past weekend at the Midwest sprint Series and look forward to also carry their success into this weekend’s Manufacturer’s Cup races.
"I think this past weekend at the Midwest Sprint Series race really shows the depth of talent we have here at FMS. I can't really ask the guys for much more when they win three out of the four events and podium in every class they compete in. I think we have a great boost in moral and feel we will be able to achieve similar results in this up coming weekend. The drivers are on it and this event’s tuners - Jason Matuszewski, Wesley Boswell - have a great baseline for this event wet or dry." stated Team Principle Jamie Sieracki.
Team FMS is a Wisconsin based karting program in association with Franklin Motorsports and operated by Jamie Sieracki Karting, LLC. For more information please send inquiries to jskarting@franklinkart.com and visit http://www.franklinkart.com
